Two-factor authentication is a security feature that adds an extra layer of protection to your account. It requires you to provide two forms of identification to access your account, such as your password and a verification code that is sent to your phone.

It’s important because it significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access to your account. Even if someone knows your password, they will not be able to access your account without the second form of identification.
