There are a few factors to consider when running a speed test:

  • Run test on wired devices: This is where you will receive the maximum speed. Over wireless, the speed is dependent on the capacity of the specific device.

  • Check for different wireless speeds in different rooms of your home: If you notice different speeds in different areas of your home, you may want to try enabling BOTH the 2.4 and 5 GHz signals on our Underline Gateway. You can do this by logging into your account at app.underline.com and accessing the gateway settings in the ‘Devices and Services tab.” The 2.4 GHz signal will help accommodate those rooms that may not be getting the best signal. This is because 2.4 GHz signal waves have an easier time traveling through walls and other obstacles to ensure coverage across your whole house.
